I have examined the accompanying Ordinance intituled
Ordinance to modify certain provisions of the Treaty of Peace Order,
1919, as amended by the Treaty of Peace (Amendment) Order, 1920, and
by the Treaty of Peace (Amendment) (No.2) order, 1980, for the purpose
of adapting the provisions of the order to the circumstances of the Colony of Hongkong,
and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the
Governor's Instructions,
2. The object of this ordinance is to adapt to the circumstances of
the Colony the amendments made in the Treaty of Peace Order, 1919, by the Treaty of Peace (Amendment) (No.2) Order, 1980
followed is that which was adopted in Ordinance No. 3 of 1920.

The method
In my opinion this is an Ordinance to which His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government may properly assent in the name
of His Majesty and on His behalf.
